Asda’s new mash up is causing a stir on social

Asda has launched its festive range in supermarkets across the UK, with a mix of treats like mince pies and camembert-flavoured crisps hitting the shelves.

A breakout star of the festive range is the Roast Potato Flavour Mayo which is causing a stir on social media – and it seems to be dividing shoppers.

Garnering thousands of comments on social media, one customer tagging her friends on Facebook writes: “How stunning does this sound!”, with another user saying, “ALL over this.”

Some have already purchased the sauce and say, “It is absolutely delicious”. It has even prompted others to visit the store, saying “off to Asda now!”.

Others have discussed how they are going to use it in their cooking, saying “we could use this and make a Christmas dinner leftovers sandwich at teatime”, “sounds perfect in a ready salted crisp sandwich or with a stuffing sarnie” and ” banging in a homemade potato salad”.

However, some are less convinced – saying “I may need to try this, sounds disgusting but I love a roast tattie!”

For the tattie lovers, it’s set to be the ultimate Christmas condiment and perfect with turkey sandwiches. Priced at £1.10, it is a light creamy mayonnaise, with roast garlic, onion and rosemary which gives it its festive flavour.

Asda is no stranger to exciting sauces, as earlier this year it launched an industry first: Chip Shop Curry Mayonnaise. Gathering five-star customer reviews online, customers say “just had this for the first time and will definitely buy again”.

Selected products from the Christmas range are available in stores and online now.
