Coop Alleanza 3.0 Selects Revionics Solution for Retail Price Optimization

Italian retailer invests in AI platform to deliver localized pricing strategies at scale 

Revionics, an Aptos Company and provider of retail pricing, promotion, markdown and advanced analytics solutions, announced today that Italian retailer Coop Alleanza 3.0 has selected Revionics’ AI-powered price optimization solution. Once deployed, the solution will allow Coop Alleanza 3.0 to make localized pricing decisions with increased speed and more optimal results. 

With a presence across eight regions in Italy, Coop Alleanza 3.0 is the largest Italian consumer cooperative and one of the largest cooperatives in Europe. In total, Coop Alleanza 3.0 has over 2.2 million members. Within the cooperative model, Coop Alleanza 3.0’s members are its owners. Its mission is to offer members convenient and quality services and products every day. 

As Coop Alleanza 3.0 expanded its reach across Italy, now operating almost 350 stores, its internal teams wanted to take advantage of all the possibilities of AI and pricing automation and review the company’s processes in the pricing area.

“For Coop Alleanza 3.0, it is essential to offer its members convenient prices, while respecting the consumption habits and values ​​of the territory in which the cooperative operates,” said Luca Girotti, Group CIO and Head of Process Innovation at Coop Alleanza 3.0. “Making pricing decisions across the various sales channels and for the entire assortment without the assistance of a powerful digital tool is an extremely time-consuming process, one that can put a strain even on the most efficient team. For this reason, we undertook in-depth research to identify a market solution that met our needs.”

To find the right solution, Coop Alleanza 3.0 evaluated numerous pricing software vendors and ultimately selected Revionics.

Coop Alleanza 3.0 has chosen to undergo its digital transformation on Google Cloud in order to leverage its extensive capabilities to handle infrastructure, data and artificial intelligence with security at its core, and taking advantage of the Google Cloud regions available in Italy, maintaining a strong attention to a sustainable approach. The choice of Revionics on Google Cloud will further enable this ongoing transformation.
