Tesco is ringing in the New Year with the return of its popular Clubcard Unpacked, a personalised annual shopping review available to eligible Clubcard members. Starting 6 January, over 18 million shoppers will receive insights into their shopping habits from 2024.
This year’s highlight? A shake-up in the nation’s go-to Meal Deal combo. The reigning favourite for the past two years—Tesco Sausage Bacon & Egg Triple, McCoy’s Flame Grilled Steak Crisps, and a Coca-Cola 500ml—has been dethroned. In 2024, the Tesco Chicken Club Sandwich took centre stage as the top main, joined by the Tesco Egg Protein Pot as the favourite snack, while the ever-popular Coca-Cola 500ml retained its spot as the preferred drink.
Clubcard members can now discover their own most-purchased Meal Deal combination through a personalised animation in the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app. The feature allows users to reflect on their shopping habits and see how their choices align with the nation’s favourites.
Clubcard Unpacked doesn’t stop at Meal Deals. Members will also get a full breakdown of their shopping patterns, including their most frequently bought products, points earned and redeemed, and their savings through Reward Partners.
Tesco revealed that shoppers from the Isle of Man were the savviest in 2024, racking up an average of 2,231 points each. When spent with Reward Partners, these points translate to over £40 worth of rewards, from cinema tickets and dining out to family trips and holiday discounts.
As an added bonus, Clubcard Unpacked is offering an exclusive competition this year. Forty thousand lucky Clubcard members will win 500 points, worth £5 in vouchers, credited directly to their accounts.
