Sensormatic Solutions, the leading global retail solutions portfolio of Johnson Controls, will exhibit at the Retail Technology Show (RTS), showcasing its latest innovations, including the SPX Sustainable Labeland Shrink Analyzer expansion.  It will also showcase its strategic technology partnership that brings together Sensormatic’s market-leading loss prevention (LP) solutions and INEO’s immersive digital display technology.

Taking place on 02 & 03 April 2025 at London’s ExCel, RTS is the industry’s flagship event that celebrates innovation and fast-forwards retailers’ digital transformation.  Exhibiting on stand L10, Sensormatic will showcase its latest solutions that fight shrink and improve customer experience (CX) at RTS, including:

 SPX Sustainable Label

Sensormatic’s sustainable Acousto-Magnetic (AM) Label was designed to protect merchandise and the planet.  With the new patent-pending label, the organisation replaced previous polystyrene LP tags with renewable, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC™) certified material, ultimately helping retailers with their sustainability objectives while safeguarding against shrink.

Designed to reduce environmental impact, the Label is created using FSC-certified material, manufactured using eco-friendly processes and shipped in recyclable packaging.  Over 90% plastic-free and made from renewable materials, Sensormatic’s sustainable SPX AM Label can help retailers reduce their environmental impact, while protecting high-risk items from shrink, and without comprising on CX.  The Label’s versatile design fits various packaging forms, allowing retailers to protect difficult-to-tag items, without the friction that comes with locks or cases.

Cloud-Based Shrink Analyzer Application

The newly enhanced, cloud-based Shrink Analyzer application can now integrate radio-frequency identification (RFID) and electronic product code (EPC) data from targeted – and previously unmonitored – store areas to improve visibility and predictions of loss events.

Shrink Analyzer’s new capabilities can provide enhanced shrink insight beyond the store exit, including receiving goods areas, employee entrances, online pick-up doors and defined zones of high-theft areas in-store which need a defined strategy to reduce shrink.

INEO

This latest strategic technology agreement brings together Sensormatic’s market-leading LP solutions and INEO’s immersive digital display technology.  Integrating INEO’s digital display technology into Sensormatic Solutions’ storefront EAS and RFID-based exit systems will help retailers enhance moments of connection with consumers whilst reducing shrink and combating organised retail crime.

INEO’s store-as-a-media-business solution allows Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) brands to enhance shopper engagement at key touchpoints within in-store buying journeys.  Its signal-shielding technology ensures EAS tags don’t interfere with display performance or vice-versa, allowing seamless display of third-party branded content and always on shrink monitoring.

With item-level analytics and insights, enhanced shrink visibility allows retailers to respond effectively to loss events, reduce out-of-stocks, combat organised retail crime (ORC) and enhance store operations.  In-built Retail Media Network functionality, which optimises ads and displays with real-time content syncing, ensures every message resonates with shoppers, entering or exiting the store.  Meanwhile, embedded video monitoring cameras help LP teams when theft events occur, using the connected system to pull video from the incident to enhance evidence packages, protect merchandise and reduce shrink.
