The Estée Lauder Companies has officially announced the appointment of Lisa Sequino as President of its Makeup Brand Cluster, effective June 9, 2025. In this pivotal role, Sequino will spearhead the global strategy, innovation, and business development for some of the company’s most iconic and trendsetting brands, including MAC Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown, Smashbox, and Too Faced.
This marks a powerful return for Sequino, who previously held key roles at Estée Lauder and is widely respected in the beauty and skincare industry. Most recently, she served as CEO of J.Lo Beauty, where she was instrumental in establishing the brand’s identity and global presence. Prior to that, she played a key leadership role at Supergoop, helping to elevate the sunscreen-first skincare brand into a global phenomenon.
With over two decades of experience across global beauty, skincare, and wellness categories, Sequino brings a sharp business acumen and a deep understanding of consumer trends. Her leadership is expected to energise the Estée Lauder Companies’ makeup division, particularly in navigating evolving consumer demands, embracing digital transformation, and driving inclusive beauty standards.
Her return is seen as a strategic move by Estée Lauder Companies, aiming to reinforce the global relevance of its makeup brands and regain momentum in the highly competitive beauty space. Sequino will report directly to executive leadership and collaborate closely with regional teams, innovation labs, and marketing units to align brand storytelling with long-term growth goals.
As the beauty industry continues to rebound and evolve post-pandemic, Lisa Sequino’s appointment signals a strong commitment to innovation, diversity, and consumer-centric strategy at the heart of Estée Lauder’s makeup portfolio.
