Next Thursday, the UK will lose all of the outlets owned by the big supermarket chain Iceland. The retailer of frozen foods has announced that a number of its locations will permanently close.

The announcement of store closures by other merchants precedes the news. Boots, B&Q, TK Maxx, and New Look are all closing their doors.

While Wetherspoons and Byron Burger are liquidating some of their chains, banking giants Lloyds and Halifax are also planning to close banks.

The specific date that each store will close is not known, and it is yet unclear how employees will be laid off. According to reports in the Sun, these are the stores that will close this year, with some closing as soon as next week.
