Kroger and Gotham Greens increase their collaboration

According to a news release, supermarket operator Kroger is growing its retail alliance with Gotham Greens.

More than 300 Kroger locations already sell Gotham’s goods. According to the press release, the goal is to grow to over 1,000 stores by the end of 2023. Moreover, approximately 2,000 additional retailers will carry Gotham Greens’ vegan dressing, culinary sauces, and drips.

Dan De La Rosa, group vice president of fresh merchandising at Kroger, stated, “We’re happy to expand our cooperation with Gotham Greens as we work together to deliver fresh, local, high-quality, and longer-lasting food to our customers in an ecologically friendly way. The number of days that products spend between harvest and our shop shelves is decreased thanks to Gotham Greens’ cutting-edge, climate-controlled greenhouses, which also improve product quality and shelf life and eliminate unforeseen weather issues. These elements eventually result in less food waste in restaurants and homes, respectively.

According to Viraj Puri, cofounder and CEO of Gotham Greens, “Kroger and Gotham Greens share a commitment to establishing a more resilient and equitable food system, putting people and our planet at the forefront of all we do.” It’s more crucial than ever to introduce novel agricultural solutions that grow high-quality produce while consuming less priceless natural resources, given the growing climate and supply chain concerns confronting our food system. We are excited to introduce our brand to new areas in the upcoming months as Gotham Greens continues to expand quickly.
