Lenta opens new hypermarket in Kazan

St. Petersburg, Russia; 25 February 2021 – Lenta, (LSE, MOEX: LNTA) one of the largest retail chains in Russia, is pleased to announce the opening of its new hypermarket in Kazan. 

The new store opened at Pavlyukhina Street, building 91, in the KazanMall shopping mall. The store has a total area of 7,200 sq.m with 5,735 sq.m of selling space and is open from 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A broad assortment of products of 17,000 SKUs has been selected specifically for residents of Kazan. The store has 15 cash registers including 4 self-checkout lanes. The property is leased by Lenta.

Product assortment of the hypermarket includes Lenta’s private labels and federal product ranges alongside local produce from 50 manufacturers.

In the near future Lenta customers and local residents will be able to benefit from the company’s online services including ‘click and collect’ and Lentochka delivery application. 

Lenta undertook explicit measures to ensure safe environment for its customers and employees during the pandemic of coronavirus. All Lenta stores are equipped with sanitizing stations and protective screens at checkouts and own production areas to minimize health related risks. The personnel are provided with high quality respirators and gloves and goes through body temperature control procedure daily. All the equipment and premises are cleaned with disinfectants several times a day.

The new opening is Lenta’s first hypermarket launch in 2021 and brings the total number of Lenta stores to 255 hypermarkets in 89 cities across Russia and 139 supermarkets in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Siberia, Urals and the Central region.
