CARREFOUR ARGENTINA
LAUNCHES BRINGO, A NEW
ONLINE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE

The new Carrefour app offers a personalized shopping experience, rapid delivery and a host of innovative functions.

With sales on its e-commerce platform growing exponentially, Carrefour Argentina announces the launch of Bringo, a new online shopping app offering rapid delivery (under 60 minutes)personal assistants for each order and special discounts in participating stores. With this innovation, the country’s leading supermarket chain strengthens its position as a provider of home delivery services for food and other products.

At the initial stage, Bringo will operate with selected Carrefour stores and is available in central Buenos Aires (“Autonomous City”) only. It will soon be rolled out to cover the Greater Buenos Aires area, and will then be extended to other retail outlets including pharmacies, health food stores, pet shops, fast food outlets, restaurants, cafés, and clothing and electronics stores, to name just a few.

“With the launch of Bringo, we’re offering our customers one more purchasing channel combining speed, assortment and attractive promotions. And this is the first app to allow interaction between a personal assistant – the store employee whose job is to fulfil each order – and the customer, who can give their personal assistant special instructions when completing their order,” explains Leonardo Arcas, Director of Sales and E-Commerce with Carrefour Argentina.

Bringo offers other innovative features too: customers can add items to their shopping baskets simply by scanning products in their fridges or cupboards, and can opt for immediate or deferred same-day delivery of their purchases by choosing the time slot most convenient to them.

“This app offers unique quality of service thanks to direct communication between the customer and their personal assistant, who can take the customer’s preferences into account when fulfilling their orders. And customers can also ask their personal assistant to add items after completion of their order and before paying. So if they forget something or change their mind about a certain item, they can make those changes in real time,” adds Arcas.

Carrefour’s omni-channel presence has been in place for several years now. It offers ample product assortments at unbeatable value for money via 600 outlets up and down the country, all formats combined: Express, Market, Maxi, Hyper and E-commerce. The launch of Bringo is a valuable addition to Carrefour’s digital ecosystem and an innovative solution to its customers’ needs.
