Carrefour pulls out of Taiwan

Carrefour announces on Mardi 19 July the signing of an agreement to transfer its activities to Taïwan. It is carried precisely on the sale of its participation, at a rate of 60%, to the historical Uni-Président association. Ces deux groupes avaient founded a joint-venture in 1987. Carrefour Taïwan employs 15,000 people and owns a park of 340 magazines, with 68 hypermarches and 272 supermarches. Il détient également 129 galleries marchandes.
