Does Walmart US really charge for using carts ?

Walmart allegedly planned to start charging customers to use shopping carts in a TikTok video that was published in late January.

A Walmart cart that needed a $1 deposit to use it was shown in the video.

On February 1st, the new fee was intended to go into effect.

But, at least in the United States, it is fiction.

The Walmart in the video’s footage is one in Canada where charging for a cart is usual.

Customers must put a coin into the corral to unlock the cart, and they receive it back when they return the cart.

Europe also makes use of the system.

However, there is no proof that Walmart used it in the United States.
