ID Logistics increases the value of deliveries to Auchan stores in southern Poland.

ID Logistics is extending its cooperation with Auchan Polska. The operator, which has been servicing the retail chain’s warehouse in Mszczonów for over 8 years, will now be responsible for managing operations at the distribution centre in Lędziny, from where deliveries to shops in southern Poland are made.

Auchan’s 54,000 sq m distribution centre in Lędziny (Silesia voivodeship) has been operational since 2022. Its launch was related to the reorganisation of the retail chain’s logistics infrastructure in Poland
and optimisation of its supply chain. The centre is dedicated to providing warehousing services for dry and fresh food products, including those requiring temperature-controlled storage in various ranges (dairy, meat, fish, fruit and vegetables). In addition, cleaning products, household chemicals, textiles and furnishings are stored here. From the Lędzin warehouse, products are distributed to all shops of the Auchan chain in southern Poland, including hypermarkets, supermarkets and small-format shops.

The tasks of the team of more than 470 employees include receiving deliveries (reception), warehousing, stock management, and loading and distribution, also in so-called transit (direct shipment to shops, bypassing the storage stage). The scope of services also includes labelling of products, including affixing Polish labels to imported goods.
Mariusz Gawęda, senior manager of logistics operations at Auchan Polska, said: “The warehouse in Lędziny is the first campus to meet the omnichannel strategy implemented by Auchan. Hence, it is so important that the entire organisation here operates efficiently using the latest technologies and processes.
