Just Eat and Dia supermarket chain, have established a cooperation to deliver groceries and convenience products, beginning with around 50 locations in Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, Seville, and Bilbao. In the next months, the agreement will be expanded to other Spanish cities, giving over three million Spanish Just Eat customers access to Dia’s extensive product range for on-demand delivery.
Following multiple grocery and convenience cooperation announcements in Spain over the last year, Just Eat Spain examined the growth of this expanding vertical. According to the report, 63% of Spaniards have already used the service to get goods online in the last year, a trend that is anticipated to continue in the following year. The majority of customers (40%) like the ease of on-demand delivery since it allows them to order products they require, from basic convenience goods to a missing ingredient, with the touch of a button for quick delivery.
