Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers Heat Up as Wings Beat Fever

The Dallas Wings defeated the Indiana Fever 91-85 Thursday night, ending Indiana’s five-game winning streak.

But the biggest talking point after the game wasn’t just the final score. A tense exchange between Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers quickly went viral on social media.

Late in the second quarter, Bueckers appeared to grab Clark’s arm while trying to stop a Fever possession. Clark reacted angrily after the play, and the two exchanged words. Bueckers appeared to tell Clark to “calm down,” creating one of the night’s most discussed moments.

On the court, Dallas got a huge performance from Arike Ogunbowale, who scored a season-high 32 points. Jessica Shepard added a career-high 26 points to help the Wings secure the win.

Clark finished with 10 points, nine assists and four rebounds, while Bueckers recorded 13 points, eight assists and six rebounds.

Indiana’s Kelsey Mitchell was the standout scorer for the Fever, finishing with 37 points and setting a WNBA record with 21 consecutive games scoring at least 20 points.

The result gives Dallas an important win in the playoff race, while the Fever will look to bounce back in their next game.

With Clark and Bueckers both emerging as major stars of the WNBA, their latest on-court confrontation has added another chapter to one of the league’s most closely watched matchups.
