Carrefour makes a foray into Mongolia.

Carrefour International Partnership expands its worldwide footprint by announcing the launch of its first two shops in Mongolia, in collaboration with Altan Joloo and its subsidiary Sansar, under the banners Carrefour (hypermarket) and Carrefour Market (supermarket). This collaboration has resulted in the deployment of Carrefour banners across Mongolia, allowing all Sansar stores, numbering more than 20, to have access to Carrefour brand merchandise.

“We are extremely happy and delighted to cooperate with Carrefour, one of the world’s biggest merchants. To improve our presence in Mongolia, we intend to rename our 20 Sansar shops and build at least 20 new Carrefour supermarkets and hypermarkets in the next years.” said Ms. Oyundari Enkhbaatar, CEO of Altan Joloo Trade LLC.

M. Patrick Lasfargues, Executive Director of Carrefour International Partnership, said : “We are extremely pleased to continue increasing our worldwide footprint, thanks to our new Partner, Altan Joloo, with the inauguration of the first Carrefour shops in Mongolia, as part of our 2026 strategic goal to enter more than ten new countries.”
