Tesco Announces New Sustainability Initiative to Cut Food Waste

Tesco has launched a bold initiative aimed at reducing food waste across its stores by 25% by 2027. The programme focuses on redistributing surplus food, optimising supply chain efficiency, and introducing a new “waste not” range featuring products nearing their sell-by dates at discounted prices. Tesco CEO Ken Murphy stated, “Tackling food waste is a priority for Tesco, and we are committed to driving meaningful change for our customers and the environment.”
