Lidl Revamps Packaging to Encourage Healthier Choices

Lidl has announced a major shift in the design of its own-brand products, removing cartoon characters and bright visuals from packaging on less nutritious items. This initiative, set to roll out across 1,000 stores by mid-2025, is aimed at supporting parents in making healthier choices for their children and reducing the influence of “pester power.” Lidl’s proactive approach places it ahead of forthcoming regulations on advertising unhealthy food to children.
