Aldi UK plans to add 6,000 new jobs.

According to the German multinational, new stores will be opening in Norwich, Newcastle, Castle Donnington, Norwich, Porthcawl, Newcastle, Whittlesey, Staines Upon Thames, Slough, and Southampton, while units in Huddersfield and Shrewsbury will do the same.

Now, Aldi employs almost 40,000 people and has more than 990 open stores.

The firm overtook Morrisons in the 12 weeks leading up to September to become the fourth-largest grocery chain in Britain as cost of living pressures rose.
Sales increased 10.6% over the Christmas season compared to the same period last year, further demonstrating the need for affordable items.
The demand for Aldi has never been stronger, according to Aldi CEO Giles Hurley.
According to Aldi, wages for almost 7,000 warehouse workers have improved, and employees now make a minimum of £13.18 per hour.
