URGENT INDUSTRY ALERT: Protecting 35+ Years of B2B Retail Integrity

As the Publisher and Analyst for International Supermarket News (ISN), I am speaking directly to our global network of grocery executives, FMCG manufacturers, and retail technology providers.
Recently, it has been brought to my attention that a fraudulent operation is actively attempting to exploit the legacy we have spent over three decades building. A group operating under the name Global Supermarket News (GSN) has been directly contacting businesses to solicit advertising funds.
During these sales pitches, their representatives are explicitly using ISN’s 35-year credit history, our trade show track record, and my personal name (Riad Beladi) to close deals.
Let me be entirely unequivocal to our industry partners:
    1. A Brand New Shell Domain: While they claim to be a “leading” global authority, a quick audit reveals they are operating on a brand-new, recently registered domain name (gsnnews.com). This infrastructure was set up in a reactionary move after their previous domain faced severe market and reputational pressure.
    2. Artificial Metrics: This copycat network is inflating its digital presence by purchasing fake, inactive followers on platforms like LinkedIn to project a false illusion of B2B authority. While they claim thousands of industry connections, their content receives near-zero organic engagement from real retail professionals.
    3. Pure Misrepresentation: Copying a legacy brand’s name format and stealing a competitor’s history to trick unsuspecting advertisers is not “competition”—it is fraud.

International Supermarket News (ISN) was founded in 1989. For 37 years, we have stood side-by-side with global supermarket buyers at SIAL, Anuga, and major international trade hubs. Our audience is built on real human relationships, verified audits, and decades of journalistic integrity.
We are currently taking formal legal steps to address this identity theft and trademark infringement. If your company has been contacted by sales representatives using my name or ISN’s history to sell space on a new or unrecognized domain, please forward the email communications and phone numbers directly to our compliance team.
Thank you to our partners who caught this deception and brought it to our attention. Let’s keep the global grocery supply chain clean, authentic, and secure.
