DIA, leader of neighborhood supermarkets, reaffirms its commitment to the country by announcing its plans for investment and job creation in Argentina for 2021-2023, rebuilding its store network and adding 3,000 new direct and indirect jobs.

The announcement was made by Stephane Du Charme, CEO of DIA Group, and Martin Tolcacire, CEO of DIA Argentina, who met with Argentine President Alberto Fernandez, Minister for Production Development Matthias Kulfas and Chief of Staff Juan Manzur. The investment is in full swing and will be completed in 2023.

There are currently 904 stores in the DIA Argentina network. The renovation project took place in 7 provinces: Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos, Corrientes, Santa Fe, Chaco, Jujuy and Salta. As for openings, the local presence will be significantly expanded.

The investment plan also includes a new distribution center to serve new markets as part of the company’s ambitious project in Argentina.

Stefan DuSharm, DIA Group CEO, said:

“This investment and growth plan validates our commitment and long-term vision for Argentina, all of our customers, partners, franchisees, suppliers and society at large.
