Walmart and Local produce

Just in time for the last-minute vacation rush, Chico’s FAS customers will for the first time have the option to have online orders from the company’s three unique fashion brands – Chico’s, White House Black Market and Soma – delivered directly to their homes in just two hours. This convenient delivery option is made possible by Chico’s new delivery service provider FAS, Walmart GoLocal, and launches today in select markets including Chicago, Illinois, and Fort Myers, Florida, and will expand to additional markets in 2022.

“Delivering our customers what they want, when they want it is another step in our ‘digital first’ customer centricity,” said Molly Langenstein, CEO, Chico’s FAS. “Whether we are delivering a last-minute black dress, pajamas or a new pair of jeans, partnering with Walmart GoLocal provides a convenient delivery option and another way to deliver on our promise to bring women confidence and joy.”

It’s no secret that Chico’s FAS has a passion for fashion. Every day, Chico’s offers clothing, footwear and accessories, as well as intimate apparel, in its boutiques, online digital boutiques and through Style Connect, the company’s proprietary digital styling tool that allows customers to conveniently store wherever, whenever and however they choose. Walmart GoLocal complements Chico’s FAS extensive delivery capabilities by enabling Chico’s FAS brands to go beyond the current ship-to-home offering for customers in select markets.
“We are excited to partner with Chico’s FAS, Walmart GoLocal’s first fashion customer, to make life more convenient for families in communities of all sizes across the country,” said Tom Ward, senior vice president of Last Mile, Walmart U.S. “Whether they are shopping for something new for their wardrobe or for their weekly groceries, we know customers everywhere are pressed for time and crave convenience. The beauty of Walmart GoLocal is that we can customize the service to businesses of all sizes and offerings, giving customers time back no matter what they are looking for.”

Walmart GoLocal is a white-label delivery service that allows businesses to grow with Walmart’s delivery capabilities and nationwide coverage at competitive prices. This includes delivery of a range of assortments, including those with large and complex requirements, as well as the flexibility to meet varying schedules. Walmart GoLocal is an important part of Walmart’s overall strategy, which includes diversifying its revenue streams and profit sources with initiatives like Walmart Connect and Walmart Fulfillment Services.
