Comet Relaunch Set for Q4 2025 Under OnBuy Leadership with £10m Investment

The iconic UK electronics retailer Comet is set to make a comeback under the stewardship of OnBuy, an online marketplace platform. CEO Cassion “Cas” Paton now oversees both brands, signalling an integrated approach to expanding OnBuy’s electronics offering.

A £10 million investment is earmarked to support Comet’s relaunch, expected in the fourth quarter of 2025. The relaunch will see Comet’s physical and online presence integrated into OnBuy’s existing electronics platform, aiming to leverage synergies between the two brands.

This revival comes after Comet’s previous collapse, reflecting confidence in the brand’s value and potential to regain market share in the competitive consumer electronics segment.

Industry experts will be keen to monitor how effectively OnBuy capitalises on Comet’s brand heritage while adapting to the rapidly evolving retail landscape.
