Costco to Launch Early Shopping Hours for Executive Members in the U.S.

Costco is reportedly planning to introduce a new benefit for its Executive Members by offering earlier access to its U.S. warehouses, a move that could begin later this month.

According to internal communications shared online, Executive Members will soon be allowed to enter warehouses starting at 9:00 a.m., one hour before the standard opening time of 10:00 a.m. Currently, most Costco locations open at 10:00 a.m. on weekdays and 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays. With this change, Executive Members would gain earlier entry every day of the week, including weekends.

The initiative appears aimed at rewarding premium-tier members, who pay a higher annual fee, with added convenience and less crowded shopping conditions. This development may also be part of a broader strategy to increase the appeal of Executive Membership, which comes with additional savings and benefits compared to the standard membership.

At this stage, the change is expected to apply only to regular warehouse locations in the U.S., and not to Costco Business Centres or international branches. While the company has yet to make a formal public announcement, Executive Members are advised to check with their local store or monitor official channels for confirmation and further details.
