From huge 4K televisions to gaming, kitchen appliances and toys, these could be among Walmart’s biggest Black Friday categories
Black Friday is still several months away, but American shoppers are already beginning to think about Christmas purchases and the discounts that could appear at Walmart.
Walmart has not yet released its complete Black Friday 2026 product list or confirmed prices. However, the retailer’s previous Black Friday campaigns provide a strong indication of the categories likely to attract the most attention.
Walmart has increasingly transformed Black Friday from a single shopping day into a much longer promotional period, with deals released before and during Thanksgiving week.
Here are 10 products and categories shoppers should watch when Walmart’s 2026 Black Friday deals begin to appear.
1. Large-Screen 4K and QLED TVs
Televisions are likely to be among Walmart’s biggest Black Friday attractions again this year.
Large 4K, QLED and smart TVs traditionally receive some of the most aggressive promotional pricing during the holiday shopping season. Walmart has previously used very large-screen televisions as headline Black Friday products.
Shoppers should watch particularly closely for 75-inch, 85-inch and even larger models.
2. Laptops
Laptops are another major Black Friday category.
Walmart could promote Windows laptops, Chromebooks and entry-level computers aimed at families and students. More powerful laptops may also attract discounts as retailers compete for Christmas technology spending.
3. Gaming Consoles and Accessories
Gaming remains a major part of Christmas shopping.
Consoles, controllers, gaming headsets, storage devices and popular games could all feature heavily in Walmart’s Black Friday promotions.
4. Air Fryers
Air fryers have become a familiar Black Friday product, particularly because they can be sold at accessible prices.
Walmart is likely to offer a wide range of kitchen appliances, from compact models to larger multi-function air fryers.
5. Cordless Vacuum Cleaners
Vacuum cleaners are another category worth watching.
Cordless stick vacuums, robot vacuums and traditional household cleaning products could all appear in the retailer’s holiday promotions.
6. LEGO and Children’s Toys
For families, Black Friday is increasingly becoming an important part of Christmas toy shopping.
LEGO sets, dolls, games, outdoor toys and children’s electronics are likely to compete for shoppers’ attention as parents begin buying presents.
7. Tablets
Tablets can become particularly attractive Black Friday purchases when retailers offer substantial discounts.
Affordable tablets aimed at children and families are likely to compete alongside premium models.
8. Smart Home Technology
Smart speakers, security cameras, streaming devices and other connected-home products could also feature prominently.
The category has become increasingly mainstream, making smart-home products popular Christmas gifts.
9. Coffee Machines
Coffee machines and related kitchen products are another category that shoppers should monitor.
From basic coffee makers to pod machines and more sophisticated espresso systems, retailers have plenty of opportunities to create attractive holiday offers.
10. Small Kitchen Appliances
Mixers, blenders, pressure cookers, toaster ovens and other small appliances are likely to form part of Walmart’s wider Black Friday offer.
These products are particularly suited to Black Friday because shoppers can easily compare models and prices online.
Walmart Black Friday 2026: The Deals Battle Is Coming
The biggest question is not whether Walmart will offer Black Friday discounts, but how aggressive those discounts will be.
Walmart competes directly with Amazon, Target, Best Buy and other major US retailers during the holiday season. The pressure to attract shoppers means retailers increasingly begin their promotions before Black Friday itself.
Walmart’s previous strategy has been to spread deals across multiple events rather than concentrate everything on one day. In 2025, the retailer ran two major Deals Events followed by Cyber Monday, giving shoppers several opportunities to purchase products before Christmas.
For shoppers, however, the biggest lesson is to compare prices.
A large percentage discount does not automatically mean a product is at its lowest price. Consumers are increasingly checking prices across retailers and looking at previous selling prices before making major purchases.
Walmart’s official 2026 Black Friday products and prices will be watched closely when they are eventually released.
Until then, these 10 categories are among the products worth putting on the shopping watchlist.
